  • GCSE Drama Students' Back stage Tour of Tower Theatre

    Published 02/12/25

GCSE Drama Workshop at the Tower Theatre

Our Year 11 Drama students had a FANTASTIC day out at the Tower Theatre, Stoke Newington with a set design and lighting workshop led by designers, courtesy of Director/School Governor Allan Stronach.

Students had the privilege of a 'behind the scenes' walk-through of the theatre’s current show, exploring:
    - different types of stage lights
    - how lighting effects and sequences are created
    - how set design and lighting work hand-in-hand to shape a performance

Our lucky students also picked up a huge amount of technical vocabulary, giving them a real boost for their written drama exam — what an insightful introduction to the backstage technical world of theatre!

We send a HUGE thank you to Allan and the team at The Tower Theatre for such a hands-on, unforgettable experience.

  • Visit to Parliament

    Published 02/12/25

Our Year 10 PSCHE / History / Heads of House students had an incredible day at the Houses of Parliament!

Thank you so much to MP Charalambous, who took the time to speak with our year 10s about his work and answer their thoughtful questions.

Students enjoyed a private tour of the historic building, exploring the chambers, learning about parliamentary traditions, and seeing democracy in action. They also took part in an educational workshop, gaining a deeper understanding of how laws are made and how young people can get involved in shaping their society.

A huge thank you to everyone who made this inspiring visit possible for our lucky students.
