D of E - First Aid TRaining

Year 9 & 10 Students Take on First Aid Training for Duke of Edinburgh Award

This week, our Year 9 and 10 students took part in a valuable First Aid training session as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award preparation. Led by Miss Green, the session covered a range of essential life-saving skills, equipping the girls with knowledge and confidence to respond in emergency situations.

The training included learning the DR ABC process (Danger, Response, Airway, Breathing, Circulation), how to treat wounds and manage bleeding, how to help someone suffering from shock, and how to perform CPR. Students also practised placing each other into the recovery position, gaining hands-on experience in a calm and supportive environment.

Miss Green praised the students for their enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the session, and the girls left feeling more prepared and empowered to act in a first aid emergency. A fantastic step forward in their DofE journey!
