World Book Day & International Women's Day Celebrations
This week we’re celebrating the power of stories and the strength of inspiring women!
Thursday 5 March – World Book Day
- KS3 will take part in a special Book Project during Period 4 — a vibrant oracy session filled with discussion, creativity and a celebration of brilliant female authors and protagonists.
- KS4 & KS5 can join our Book Swap at lunchtime in B9 — bring a teen fiction book and discover your next great read!
- Friday 6 March – Inspirational Character Dress-Up Day. To mark International Women’s Day, students are invited to dress as an inspirational character from a book.
Think bold, brave, brilliant female leads who challenge, inspire and lead.
As an all-girls school, these events are especially meaningful — a chance to celebrate reading for pleasure and the powerful voices shaping our world.
We can’t wait to see your costumes and hear the literary conversations.

Last week 57 students across our Y10 set 1 maths classes took the UKMT Intermediate Challenge — and the results were the best we’ve ever had! Well done to EVERYONE who stepped up and participated.
