Extra Curricular Activities

 

 

 
  Outdoor wear  

A green blazer is compulsory.  Outdoor coats must be plain black worn over the blazer Expensive coats are not suitable for school, e.g. leather etc.  Coats should have no logos or coloured trim.

 
   
 Shoes  

Plain black in a style suitable for school wear. No thin heels or platform soles, as these can be dangerous. High heels, sandals, trainers and boots (including ankle boots) should not be worn. Inside height of the heel should be no more than 4cm.

 
   
 School Kilt  

Black Watch tartan kilt available from uniform suppliers.
Kilt must be knee length or longer.

 
 
  School Trousers

Only available from uniform suppliers, - black Trutex and must carry the school logo.

 
  Shirt

White shirt-style blouse with long or short sleeves. A plain white T-shirt may be worn under a long-sleeved blouse for warmth. No other style of top or blouse to be worn including polo necks or aertex shirts. No other colour or coloured trim to be worn, blouses should be no longer than jumper or blazer.

 
  School Jumper or Sweatshirt

Green and no longer than the blazer. The jumper must be worn under the blazer.

 
 Socks

Black. No other colours or coloured trim

 
 Tights

Plain black or neutral tights. No other colours or coloured trim.

 
 Badges

No badges other than school badge.

 
 Make-Up

Make-up is unsuitable with school uniform

 
  Hair

Where hygiene and safety are involved, long hair should be fastened back and if hair bands, slides or head coverings are worn, they should be black, white or bottle green. No coloured or extravagant hairstyles are permitted.

 
 Jewellery

Jewellery – one small plain gold or silver stud may be worn in each ear by pupils with pierced ears. Facial piercing, such as worn in the nose or brow is strictly not permitted, even if covered with a plaster
No other jewellery is allowed.

 
 Physical Education

All students must have a named bag to hold P.E. equipment
Polo sports shirt 65/35 pique knit (winter emerald). Black plain shorts or leggings (these must all be black) Black or white trainers and black or white sport socks. Watches must be removed for P.E.
Optional items: Black tracksuit for winter games and football boots.

 
 For all Technology Based Subjects

A pack containing an A3 folder, apron, dust mask, graphics pen and sewing needles are available in Technology lessons for £10.00.

  Please Note

Umbrellas should be a folding compact and fit into a bag or locker, as it is not safe to carry large umbrellas around the school premises.

 

All personal property must be NAMED. The Education Committee accepts no responsibility for property in school. Therefore, parents are advised to take out insurance in order to cover all items brought to school – especially musical instruments and mobile phones. (Please see our mobile phone policy).
