Age UK Afternoon Tea Party

Collaborating with Age UK to host our inaugural afternoon tea party. With musical interludes by our chamber choir and literary extracts read by students across Y7 - 10, it was joyful to share tea, cake, memories and anecdotes across generations of Enfield residents.

Dear Ms Gumbrell,

I simply had to reach out to express my gratitude to you and everyone for the delightful afternoon we shared on Thursday at the Tea Party.

The girls exhibited remarkable confidence while speaking and singing.  The girl who stepped in for Maisie (I apologise for not catching her name) delivered the poem beautifully, particularly considering she may have never experienced the rhythm of a train on the tracks before.

The harmonies in the songs blended wonderfully, showcasing the girls’ beautiful voices.  Iris, who performed in Latin, was exceptional and wore a charming smile.  The choir truly possesses an impressive level of talent.

Erza and Keziah conveyed the emotions of the “Romeo and Juliet” recital skilfully and I was thoroughly impressed with the reading of the poem “The Lamb,” which was new to me.

Jasmin's performance of the song from Frozen was truly outstanding; every word was clearly audible.  Excellent job!  The poem "Echo" that Christina recited was deeply thought-provoking and delivered beautifully.

I also want to express my gratitude for the tea party.  The moment we walked into room, it looked absolutely incredible and the sandwiches, cakes biscuits and tea/coffee were exceptional.  Everything was delicious and the cakes were exquisitely crafted.  I definitely indulged a bit too much!

Thank you very much for your warm hospitality which made us feel welcomed and valued.  The girls and staff made a point to visit each table, engaging with everyone and responding to questions with great confidence.

We all appreciate you creating such a memorable day which we will always remember and I sincerely hope to see you all again soon.

I know you would appreciate any constructive criticism; however, I genuinely have nothing to mention!

Thank you once more for a delightful afternoon.

Kind regards,

Ms Sycamore
