The school strongly advises that any religious symbol worn on a chain is not of financial and/or emotional significance in case of it becoming damaged, mislaid or lost.
Jewellery or accessories worn by a student other than that stated in our dress code are likely to be confiscated and returned at a later date that is convenient to the school, for example at the end of that school term. If the item is confiscated we will of course endeavour not to mislay it, however in the busy daily life of the school we are unable to confirm that this would never happen.
The school will accept no liability for loss of or damage to any item of jewellery worn to school (including loss/damage caused by criminal activity such as theft), meaning that the item will not be replaced or the cost covered by the school.

PE Kit Policy - Health and Safety - to enable students to participate safely in PE lessons
Please note: all jewellery must be removed for PE, including any studs that students are allowed to wear for school uniform.
Headscarves may be worn for PE but must be fastened tightly.
If students are having their ears pierced over the summer holidays this needs to be done at the start of the school holiday so studs can be removed in September.
Students are required to bring their PE kit to every lesson.
If a student is unable to participate in a PE lesson due to valid illness or an injury they still need to change into a PE kit. Students unable to physically participate in PE will be assigned a suitable 'coaching' role within the lesson to promote inclusivity.
Please note: all personal property must be named. The Education Committee accepts no responsibility for property in school. Parents are advised to take out insurance in order to cover all items brought to school – especially musical instruments and mobile phones. Please see our mobile phone policy for more details.
