Welcome to Post 16 at ECSfG!

Our aim is to provide the very best education for all. As a comprehensive school dedicated to the service of our community, this means that woven into everything that we do is our fundamental principle of equality. We believe that all people are equal and also unique. Therefore to provide the very best education for all we ensure that we provide a wide range of opportunities through our curriculum and enrichment program. We are aware of the key role that pastoral support plays in enabling pupils to achieve their best. For this reason we have a strong pastoral team. There is a separate Progress and Achievement Leader for both Years 12 and 13 and Attendance and Punctuality Administrator to support pupils.

At ECSfG Post 16 we adopt a balanced approach. We give our pupils the freedom to express themselves, to develop their intellect and passions. However, we also provide the structure and support that means we can nurture and care for our young people and enabling them to develop the habits and behaviours that will ensure their greatest successes. It is for these reasons that we provide structured study support in our Study and Research Centre. Pupils have study time which is supervised and monitored in the morning but are free to study in school, at home or elsewhere after lunch.

Purpose built accommodation allows for independent learning within a structured and supportive environment. Our collegiate partnership creates opportunity for students to learn and develop alongside each other.
